The inaugural opening of Palike Bazaar, Bengaluru's first underground air-conditioned market located in Vijayanagar near the Metro station and bus stand, took place on Sunday. This market, which is the first of its kind in South India and inspired by Delhi's Palika Bazaar, is a significant milestone in the city's underground commerce scene. Another exciting development is the approval of the Tunnel Road project, an ambitious initiative aimed at alleviating Bengaluru's severe traffic congestion. The 18-kilometre twin-tube tunnel, planned to run from Hebbal Flyover to Central Silk Board Junction with five access points, is set to offer relief in the future, although it will be some time before the project is completed and accessible to the public.
